The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly.
Unfortunately, my experience at Gyeongju Hotel Gonggan was disappointing. The breakfast situation was quite poor, requiring guests to cook their own limited offerings, which felt very unprofessional. Additionally, the room size was cramped, with inadequate space for luggage. Lastly, the lack of basic amenities in the bathroom was frustrating, with no hooks or places to hang clothes, making things inconvenient.

Very clean environment and spacious rooms. The staff was helpful and provided laundry service for a fair price. The self-cooked breakfast with eggs and fruits was an interesting twist and made me feel at home.
No issues here.

Cooking my own breakfast was a fun experience and I loved that I could grab as many clean towels as I needed. The cozy lounge area and quiet reading nook were perfect for winding down after a day out. Just a heads up, the dining area can get a bit busy, so plan accordingly! 😊

Hotel Gonggan offers a great value with a very clean environment and spacious rooms. The en-suite bathroom features a powerful shower, and the breakfast selection, though limited, includes good quality items like eggs and toast for self-cooking. The location is excellent, being within walking distance of bus stations and numerous restaurants. The staff provided helpful information in English despite their limited language skills.
Limited cooked breakfast options.

I stayed in a Deluxe Double Room for 2 nights, and it was super spacious and clean. The thick curtains were great for blocking out the morning light. The bathroom was also new and roomy. They had all the kitchen stuff you could need, like a microwave and an espresso machine, and even smart TV and fridge were cool touches. Breakfast was a feast with tons of options—lots of fruits, smoothies, and eggs cooked how you like them. Really comfy stay!
